DEAR FRIENDS,

As you know, Natasha Kamrani is not seeking re-election as HISD District I Trustee. As a 20-year resident of the Heights and the parent of an HISD graduate, and with experience in building community relations through non-profits and volunteering, I am uniquely familiar with the challenges currently facing the public education system in our area.

I am running for HISD District I Trustee because I believe that HISD is at a critical threshold as we embark on a new decade with a new superintendent. I have the vision and tenacity required to work with the Board and our new Superintendent, Terry Grier, as we determine smart solutions for the best education possible for our students, your children.

I am committed to building the relationships between students, parents, educators and community that are imperative in providing the quality education our students deserve and should be expected from one of the nation’s largest independent school districts. I have dedicated my career to community engagement and philanthropy and will use that experience and the needs of the children and parents to help shape my decision-making.

It would be an honor to serve the children, families and community as HISD Trustee, District 1. I ask for your support and vote on November 3.
